Introducing MerloAdvisory
MerloAdvisory began in 2014 when our Managing Director Travis was working as a Global Insider Threat Leader with GE Capital. MerloAdvisory provided bespoke integrity consulting to a number of clients, including three Victorian Government departments, a country local council and a Government regulator. In 2024 Travis saw a gap in the market, a firm that provides ‘Big-4’ expertise and capability to all clients, without the conflict with audit clients, outsourcing to other countries to make better margins, and most of all – someone who cares about the outcome for your business.

Our Managing Director – Travis Merlo
Travis has over 25 years experience managing integrity issues. Travis began his integrity career with Victoria Police, spending over 12 years serving the Victorian community in a variety of roles. Travis was a Detective, specialising in serious crime and high tech crime investigation. Travis spent time with an anti-corruption body, then moved into senior roles in Government Integrity management, with GE Capital in a global leader role and with two ‘Big-4’ global firms where he recently lead a national integrity and investigations team of over 30 staff.
Travis has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Travis also holds numerous other tertiary qualifications in Fraud Management and Investigation.
Travis is heavily involved in his local community, being a member of Commerce Ballarat and a Board Member with Ballarat Basketball.
